Winter is Still Here

Just when it seemed like Spring was here, we got a few more inches of snow. I found this painting from a few years ago in storage. Three Starlings are shown foraging for food in the snow.

Another Drawing: My Backyard

This is a view of my old backyard in winter. It mostly shows my neighbor Sandor's chicken coop, smokehouse and garden. To the right beyond that fence is a little bit of my old friend Pete's backyard. There were a couple of big oaks and some nice woods out there until they built those houses. It doesn't look like much, but I had some great times there.

Me and My Crows

I'm a bird watcher and have always been fascinated with crows. Although considered a pest, crows are highly intelligent and were associated with Gods and myths of various cultures. I've been feeding them over the winter and watching how they interact with each other. I wanted to do a self-portrait and decided to include a few of my crow friends.
